I've always been a big fan of musicals, I mean how can someone not be? They're fun (even if only ever so slightly in Les Miserables case), and take you on an emotional journey. I was raised on the likes of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Calamity Jane and of course Annie and Oliver. In my teen years I found Chicago, Burlesque, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Grease and Fame.
In terms of stage shows I've only ever seen Wicked and the Lion King, this is something I am desperate to change! Lately my obsession has been steadily increasing. I have soundtracks on all the time whilst I'm working and I have to admit part of me gets genuinely sad when I have to turn my music off when filming.
For my younger sisters birthday I'm going to be taking her to see a stage production of Calamity Jane but the next Broadway shows on my list are to actually see Les Miserables on stage as opposed to watching recordings and Miss Saigon! What about you guys though? Are there any shows you think I should see? Please let me know because I have a real love for them and want to expand my horizons.

The Phase: Musicals:
14.2.15
It's been a long time since I've done one of these hasn't it? I think it's mainly because I've not really gone through many phases lately, one thing I have been utterly obsessed with lately however is Gogglebox.
It's well and truly marmite TV, before I started watching it I was very much one of those "what's the point of sitting watching people watching TV" people, but since my Mum sat me down an said "trust me you will love this" did I really fall in love with the programme. The families and couple's they've chosen are amazing, the old couple where the man is always asking to see his wife's "knicks", the posh couple who are almost always either drunk or getting drunk and who doesn't love Sandy and Sandra?
The things people come out with are hilarious and they really do make my day. If you haven't given this show a chance then I'd really recommend it as a form of escapism, it's no documentary, it's no artsy film but it is a nice little bit of fun and silliness to add to your day.

I have to say I was so happily surprised with how well my last "The Phase" post has gone down. To this day it remains one of my most popular posts and I received some lovely comments on it.
My next Phase is about wearing nothing on my nails. I have to say this Phase didn't come about by choice. I've recently started a job in a supermarket which means that I'm not allowed to wear nail varnish. Since I work alternate days there's been no point in painting them for my days off.
Despite the fact I used to adore painting my nails in all different colours I hated the fact that whenever I took my nail varnish off to change colours they felt were very thin, dry and yellow looking no matter what kind of base coat I used. However, since I've stopped wearing nail varnish and used a lot more hand cream since touching change and handling newspapers and products for hours on end can dry out your hands my nails look in far better condition and feel much better too. I can't remember the last time I've had a nail break and my nail feels very smooth. It's also given the yellow colour a chance to fully grow out. Now I even when I have a few days off in a row I don't really want to paint my nails. I'm sure this truly is just a phase though since I used to absolutely adore painting my nails, although at the moment I don't think they'll be painted again for a long time.

This is going to be my first "The Phase" post (which if you don't know what that means then check out this post for an explanation). Lately I've been obsessing over Autumn clothing whenever I walk around shops or have an on line browse it's the Autumn clothing I'm looking at.
I love the Autumn as a season but the clothes make me even happier. I'm a huge fan of cold weather (I don't know if that's weird or not) and the warm cosy clothes. With all the layers and fluffy hoods. The Autumn colours are my favourite too, as well as this the knits in Autumn colours are my favourite, hence the jumper and tights I've pictured.
If you've been enjoying Autumn and Winter fashions then let me know what kind of things you've been looking at. Especially since it's University time and I'm getting more and more into saving up for a treat every now and again and getting real pieces into my wardrobe as opposed to lots of cheap little things.

I've been having a little blogging block lately, when I look back over my old posts I'm not sure if that's my style any more (which is part of why I've really been wanting a redesign lately). With that in mind when I do come up with new blogging I've actually started to come up with some ideas for new series'. One of which I would like to call "The Phase". If you know me personally then you'll know I don't just start to like things I really get obsessed and then it's all I can think about for months on end until I completely stop being in love with it and move on to something new. For example around June and July pretty much the only thing I bought, watched videos on or read articles about was skincare, I become completely obsessed. Now however all I want to do is go clothes shopping and put an entirely new wardrobe together!
I think a clothing wishlist will be my next "The Phase" post but I wanted to give it some sort of proper introduction. If I continue with this idea then I plan on doing posts about everything from clothes and makeup to what foods and TV shows I've been obsessing over!
If you like the idea then please do let me know in the comments because as much as I'm changing my blog around to suit me more and to keep myself enjoying it whenever I get a nice comment it makes me smile so much!
