I very rarely do nails of the day but I'm so in love with this look that I had to take a few pictures. I always love a glittery accent nail because it adds a little sparkle but is so much easier to get off than having glitter on every nail.

For my main nails I used Nails inc. in Marble Arch which I have to say is probably my favourite shade at the moment. Its a beautiful light pink almost lilac colour which I find goes will with anything, and both short and long nails.

For the accent nail I used the Fearne nail varnish in Devilish Diamonds which is a very fine silver glitter shade. It's very opaque so you it's not just chunks of glitter but a block of shimmering silver.

NOTD: Flowery Nails:

This is going to be another one of my really quick and easy nail tutorials that take no skill, today it's some simple little flowers. This should be something that's perfect for spring time because it's fresh and floral, especially with these colours but, of course, you can change the colours around to whatever you'd like them to be.

After painting your nails one block colour that you'd like the background to be. Take the colour you want the main petals of your flower to be and make random shaped blobs in random positions all over the nail, the random may seem strange now but it should make the flowers look more natural than if they were uniform shapes. 

Next you're going to want to take a thin little paintbrush and another petal colour, like this pastel pink and make small little swirls, again in random shapes and sizes, within the blobs that you made before. I find that it's best to do this when the bigger blobs are still a little damp because it means that the colours will blend together a little more making them look more like flowers.

If you're as inartistic and bad at nails as I am then you should now have something that looks a bit like this, but I'm sure your nails look much better than mine do. The last thing to do is add a little yellow centre to your nails, this can be done as easily as the other step just take the colour on a paintbrush and apply a little dot in the centre of the flower.

NOTD: Simple & Festive:

This really is going to be a quick and simple post, but I still wanted to do it because I'm really in the Christmas spirit lately and these are such a cute little look that's fast and festive.

All I did was use a really rich, glossy pillar box red on all my nails, except for my ring finger, which I created an accent nail out of with a shimmery opalescent green colour. I went over the top with a top coat to really make it shine because if you can't have bright shiny red and green nails at Christmas then when can you?!  

I hope you all give this a try or if you're more skilled than I am then I'm sure you got much more arty than I did and added some little holly leaves to the red nails or something along those lines. I'm definitely going to be sporting this look on my nails all throughout the Christmas season or at least on Christmas day. I'm thinking about switching it up a little and making the green the main colour and the red the accent nail but I don't know whether I'd like it as much or not. I suppose I could alternate the two and have one hand with the main colour red and the other with the main colour green.

NOTD: Cloudy Nails:

I love these nails, They're perfect for all seasons, I also love the fact that you need no skills or special skills for this and they don't even to look good!

 The fist thing you need to do is paint your nails a block blue, I've gone for my favourite one from Nails inc. 

 Now comes the fun part, much like with the spotty nails I showed you in a previous post all you need to do is get an old hair grip and create a close group of dots until they from a cloud shape and keep going as much as you want to all over the nail, 

Try to get the clouds going at different angles and in different shapes and sizes so they look more like real clouds. Then just wait for them to dry and smooth a top coat over all your work so all of that work doesn't go to waste. 

And that's that it's really nice and simple quick and easy to do and always looks good no matter what because no two clouds look the same.

NOTD: Autumn Leaves:

A few days a go I got the idea to make a nail look that looked like Autumn leaves falling down from the sky and this is what I came up with.

You will need:

A base coat

A nude base colour

Lots of pretty colours that look like Autumn leaves

A thin slanted paintbrush

After you've base coated your nails and put on a block nude colour then the fun begins.

Pour out a really small amount of your chosen colours, take your paintbrush and very very lightly dip it into one of your colours and with a gentle hand just stroke some of the colour onto your nail. There's really no right way to do this, just get creative and see what you come out with. Build up your colours and put on as many or as few leaves as you want to. The beauty of this look is that using a slanted brush will look like the leaves are curled or spinning as they fall, and no two nails will look the same, which only adds to the detail and  beauty of it.

NOTD: Shimmery Pink

I'm absolutely awful at painting my nails in one block colour let alone attempting any fancy designs or nail arts. I loose patience and certaintly don't have a steady hand, usually I end up with more nail varnish all over my hand than on the nail itself. But I do like using some simple little tricks to give my nails a little extra something. This is one of my favourites its super quick super easy and needs little to no skills. 

First things first apply a base coat to keep your nails strong and prevent staining. This one is Collection 2in1 Strengthener & Hardener, which is amazing in my opinion.

Next apply a super bright colour of you choice, usually I go for a shocking pink. The one used here is Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish in 270 Hot Shot!

And last but not least when the colour has dried go over the top with an opaque shimmery colour, sadly all the writing has worn off the one I used but any nail varnish will do.
